I think that this is awesome! I wish that I had all my sewing supplies with me in New Orleans because I would love to participate in this challenge. (Although I’m way to busy to have the time to be able to do so) But for all you sewers and crafters out there, this is for you.
It is an online sewing challenge for the month of October using a word a week. (Last week’s word was “polka dot” and this week’s word is “juxtaposition”) There are four crafters that are big in the online crafting and sewing world that are participating each week and posting their results on their blogs. Everyone else is welcome to participate as well and there is a flickr group online where everyone else can share their results. The only rules are to create something inspired by the inspiration word using fabric in some way. 🙂
The online crafters participating in the challenge are Sandi Henderson (I mentioned her in my post about my favorite fabric designers, Melissa Esplin (she sews but also does graphic design and art as well!), Cheryl, and the creator of the challenge, Krista Maurer. Click on their names to go and see their websites and what all they have been doing for the challenge. You can learn more about the challenge, here. 🙂
So far, my favorite product of the challenge has been Sandi Henderson’s super cute skirt she made for the polka dot challenge. You can see it, here.
