painting collage 2

I’ve always had a love for art, a desire to create, and a passion for making things beautiful. Whatever moments in my childhood that I wasn’t climbing trees or running through the creek in my backyard, I was spending coming up with elaborate stories to accompany my dress-up outfits, embroidering or crocheting, or watercolor painting at my grandmother’s kitchen table, right in front of the window that overlooked my grandpa’s garden. The rural, country landscape of my childhood, now paired with the colorful architectural vibrancy of New Orleans is endless inspiration to my art. My life is saturated in the natural and domestic spheres – a dynamic harmony ever present between creation and creating.

“If I were called upon to define briefly the word “art,” I should call it the reproduction of what the senses perceive in nature, seen through the veil of the soul.” —Paul Cezanne
